Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities in production, filling, packaging, and warehouse operations.
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards, food safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Monitor production processes to maintain hygiene, sanitation, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, packaging materials, production lines, and finished goods.
- Implement and maintain HACCP, ISO 22000, Food Safety Management System (FSMS), and related quality procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local municipality and food safety authority regulations.
- Coordinate laboratory testing for water quality, microbiological analysis, and food product specifications.
- Investigate customer complaints, non-conformance reports, and quality issues, then implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare and maintain QA documentation, inspection reports, SOPs, audit records, and quality logs.
- Lead internal quality audits and support external audits by regulatory authorities and certification bodies.
- Monitor CCPs (Critical Control Points) and ensure proper corrective actions are taken when deviations occur.
- Train production and hygiene staff on quality standards, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Procurement, and Warehouse departments to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
- Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of quality testing equipment and laboratory instruments.
- Analyze quality data, prepare reports, and recommend process improvements to management.
- Monitor pest control, sanitation schedules, and factory cleanliness standards.
- Supervise QA inspectors and lab technicians, ensuring proper shift coverage and task execution.
- Verify product traceability, batch coding, shelf-life monitoring, and recall procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce wastage, contamination risks, and customer complaints.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within FMCG, bottled water, beverage, or food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and food safety standards.
- Experience in water testing, food quality inspection, and microbiological standards.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle audits, documentation, and quality investigations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality reporting systems.
